Ensemble Events
The Ensemble Method

Your wedding gets one take.

Movies get retakes. Weddings do not. The Ensemble Method is the five tier philosophy we bring to every wedding we work: built over 20 years, and the reason the moment never gets missed.

The idea underneath it

A wedding is a movie production.

To us, a wedding can be most likened to a movie production. It takes a lot of preparation and money, and everyone needs to be prepared and know their role. But there is one key difference: unlike movies, weddings only get one take.

That idea has shaped this company for 20 years and hundreds of couples all over New England. It used to shape how we ran the night. Now it shapes how we capture it. When your wedding is also the footage you will keep for the rest of your life, "one take" stops being a figure of speech. What follows is less a sales pitch than a wedding planning philosophy. Five tiers. Every wedding. In order.

The five tiers

In order, every time.

1

Comprehensive Personalization

Using our experience and expertise to help create your ceremony and reception agenda in a way that fits your personal tastes and style, while still being thoroughly entertaining.

In practice your day gets planned as two documents. The agenda, built around how you two actually want the day to run, not how weddings are supposed to go. And the shot list, built from the same conversation: the people you cannot imagine the day without, the details you spent months on, the moment you already know will wreck you. If it matters to you, it is on the list. The list is why it ends up in your hands.

2

Creative Involvement

No one wants to feel left out at a wedding reception. When guests are allowed, or better yet invited, to become active participants throughout your wedding day, they will relax, make new friends, and have more fun.

Today participation does not stop at the dance floor. A code on every table turns your guests into contributors while the night is still happening. Your people do not just attend your wedding. They help tell it.

3

Event Direction

The art and science of keeping your agenda on track, while simultaneously keeping your guests entertained.

Twenty years of owning the wedding day run of show is the entire reason our footage looks the way it does. When you know exactly how a wedding moves, you stop chasing moments and start meeting them. At the doors before they open. On your parents before the toast lands. Beside the cake before anyone reaches for the knife. The camera is always where the moment is about to happen, because the person holding it has run this agenda hundreds of times.

4

Predictable Mishaps

Most of the things that go wrong at weddings can be anticipated, and therefore prepared for.

The toast that runs long. The bustle that breaks. The rain that moves your ceremony inside at 3:40. None of it surprises someone who has watched 20 years of wedding days, which means none of it costs you the moment. We plan every wedding assuming something will wobble, so when it does it gets handled quietly and the day rolls on. Most couples never find out what it was.

Shareable Experience

Most weddings end on the dance floor and live in a hard drive somewhere. Yours does not have to.

A wedding does not end when the music stops. It ends when the people who lived it have something to hold, to send, to post, to look back at. Not in six months when the highlight reel finally arrives. Now. While the night is still fresh, while your friends are still asking, while the world wants to see what they missed.

We capture your wedding in the format you will actually use, delivered while you still care. The first teaser clip reaches your phone before the night is over. The full set of edited clips lands within 72 hours.

"...kept everything moving smoothly and on time, kept checking in with me with how he was doing, just an overall amazing experience..."

Alexandra & Joe

This is the tier the first four were building toward.

Personalization decides what matters. Involvement gives your guests a part in telling it. Direction puts the camera where the moment is about to happen. Preparation makes sure nothing steals it. Shareable Experience is why: so the day you spent a year building is in your hands while it still feels like last night. Because it was. How a content creation day works

One take. We will be ready.

We built this method running the biggest nights of people's lives, and it has never depended on what is in our hands. It depends on knowing the room. That part took 20 years, and it comes with us to yours.
