Wheel and quick-fire

A prize wheel spun from a buzzer, a 30-second trivia sprint for one player at a time, and a text-to-win race for a room full of phones. The rounds that keep a room in it between the big games.

How it plays

Spin, sprint, or text.

  • The wheel. Whatever is drawn on it is what it lands on: prizes, names, a task, a category. One press of a buzzer spins it, a second press stops it, the clicker ticking the whole way.
  • The sprint. One player, four color buttons, 30 seconds. Questions come one after another with four colored answers; hit the matching color. Faster scores more, one miss ends the turn, and the top ten stay on the board.
  • The race. Everyone gets a phone out. The screen shows a number and four random emojis; the first person to text all four to that number wins.

Who plays

One at the wheel, the room at the race.

The wheel takes one spinner at a time and keeps no score; it decides prizes, names, or what the next round is about. The sprint is one player at a time against 30 seconds, with the top ten on the board between turns. The race is the whole room, anyone with a phone that can text. None of it needs a buzzer in every hand, which is why it fits a big room.

How it fits your night

Never the headliner, always on.

The wheel is the giveaway at a holiday party and the prize station at after-prom; the sprint resets a room between the Quiz Show and the Showdown; the race puts every table in when the room is bigger than the buzzers.

Best for

Keeping a room in the game.

  • Any show with more than one format. The glue between the Quiz Show and the Showdown.
  • Company holiday parties. The spin is the giveaway.
  • After-prom and PTO nights. Prizes on the wheel and short rounds for a gym.
  • Big rooms. When the whole crowd cannot fit on the buzzers, the race gives every table a phone to reach for.
  • Bars and fundraisers. Prize spins between rounds.
  • Senior living. The wheel only, seated, no phones.

Questions people ask

The honest answers.

Can the wheel decide categories or points?

It can decide anything drawn on it: prizes, names, a task, or a category for the next round.

Does the race need an app?

No. A phone that can text, and the number on the screen. Four emojis, first to send all four wins.

How long is a sprint?

Thirty seconds a player, and a miss ends the turn early. The top ten stay on the board, so the room chases the high score all night.
