The Quiz Show
Five categories, five clues each, and up to ten players or teams who buzz in. The format everyone already knows the rules to, played with your people and written about them.
Pick a value, buzz in.
- Time goes on the clock and the board goes up on your screen. The host reveals the five categories one at a time.
- A player picks a point value, 100 to 500, and the clue fills the screen.
- Players buzz in. The first buzz locks the others out, and that player answers.
- Right, the points go up. Wrong, they come off, and a board can go negative.
- Most points wins when the board is clear or the clock runs out. Then the winner animation, and the music.

The board, as it looks on your screen: categories across the top, values down each column, the clue in the frame.
Ten on the board, a room behind them.
Up to ten players or teams on the board; a bigger room plays as tables and sends someone up, so the table argues before the buzz. The clock defaults to five minutes a board and can run longer, shorter, or off. Categories come from the library, or get written about your company, your couple, or your school.
A segment, or the main event.
The Add-On is this game as a hosted segment inside your DJ package: one board, one winner, the music back the moment it ends. In a standalone show it is the headliner, with Buzzer Trivia before it and the Showdown after.
Rooms that like a little competition.
- Company parties and team building. Departments as teams, ten on the board at a time, categories a January hire can still play.
- Rehearsal dinners and engagement parties. Categories about the couple, the two families on opposite sides of the board. Not inside the reception.
- Schools and colleges. Homerooms or grades as teams, rounds about the school, content the principal can sit through in the front row.
- Fundraisers. The centerpiece round between the paper rounds, with contestants pulled from the tables.
- Senior living, as a team game. Seated, tables as teams, hands up instead of a race to the buzzer, categories from the decades the room knows.
Board, buzzers, and sound.
- The host, and the laptop that puts the board on your screen.
- The buzzers, set on the tables before doors.
- The sound and the microphones.
- The questions, and a logo of yours for the screen.
A screen, power, and people.
- A TV or projector we can plug into.
- Power near the screen.
- The contestants: up to ten at a time, or tables as teams.
The honest answers.
Can the whole room play?
Ten at a time. Bigger rooms play as tables, and each table sends someone up.
What happens on a wrong answer?
The points come off, and a board can go negative. That is where the drama lives.
Can the categories be about us?
Yes. Five categories about your company, your couple, or your school, with your logo on the screen between rounds.
Create a buzz.
